Health Promotion
MRH is committed to promoting the health and wellbeing of the communities of the Macedon Ranges Shire and surrounds through health promotion activities that address the broader physical, social, emotional, economic, spiritual and political determinants of health. Health promotion plays a major role in our activities and community activities. Staff are available to speak to community groups
First Aid Courses
Registered courses—Level II, Level II Update and CPR from Swinburne University of Technology conducted by Registered Trainer.
Pap Tests/Sexual Health Screenings
A pap test screening recommended for females at 2 yearly intervals, and specific yearly screening for young people under 25 yrs.
Diabetes Education
‘Diabetes Conversations’, a 4 week program for people diagnosed with type 1, type 2, pre diabetes or gestational diabetes and family or carers of people living with diabetes.
Emergency Relief
Co-located at 5 Neal St, Gisborne, COBAW Community Health are onsite by appointment only.
E.Y.E.S. - Essential Youth Educational Service
A free youth health clinic for 12-21 year olds from the Macedon Ranges,at the Gisborne Community Health Centre, Wednesday evenings from 4.30-7pm. (school term). No appointments necessary.

Needle & Syringe Program
The Needle and Syringe Program (NSP) is a strategy for increasing needle and syringe availability for injecting drug users (IDUs) and minimising the transmission of bloodborne viruses such as HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C. Condoms are available through this service.
Men’s Shed
Isolation, loneliness and depression are looming as major health issues for men.
Men’s sheds can play a significant and practical role in addressing these and other men’s issues by connecting men with their local communities.
